Leveling Up

In order to replicate the slower level progression from earlier editions of D&D the following XP table is used In place of the standard one:
Level 1: 0 XP
Level 2: 800 XP
Level 3: 2,000 XP
Level 4: 5,600 XP
Level 5: 13,200 XP
Level 6: 30,200 XP
Level 7: 46,200 XP
Level 8: 70,200 XP
Level 9: 98,200 XP
Level 10: 130,200 XP
Level 11: 344,400 XP
Level 12: 436,200 XP
Level 13: 516,200 XP
Level 14: 596,200 XP
Level 15: 696,200 XP
Level 16: 816,200 XP
Level 17: 936,200 XP
Level 18: 1,396,000 XP
Level 19: 1,556,000 XP
Level 20: 1,756,000 XP

However XP is not simply handed out for defeating monsters but is also handed out for recovering treasure (1 GP = 1 XP).

Training to Level Up

In addition to gaining enough XP you must take the time to be trained by someone more advanced than you in order to gain the training necessary to advance to the next level. Costs and training times are as follows:

  • 2nd to 4th level (150 gp): 10 days of training.
  • 5th to 10th level (1,500 gp): 20 days of training.
  • 11th to 16th level (15,000 gp): 30 days of training.
  • 17th to 20th level (150,000 gp): 40 days of training.
